Helloooooo!
I am Jennifer and this is my life between where I write about all the stuff that happens between once upon a time and happily ever after.

I started blogging in June 2011. Yep, I am a complete blogging novice. If it weren’t for Blogging With Amy and the girls in my mastermind group I would have no idea what I was doing. But I’m learning and I’m loving it! The ultimate purpose of my blog is to glorify God and with His guidance give hope and encouragement to other women. I love the women who are part of (in)courage and aspire to be as cool as them someday.

When I’m not blogging I’m spending time with my family. I met my adoring husband at church in October of 1997. After disliking him for several months we became friends in May 1998. We were married 4 months later. Yes, it’s a crazy story! He is so much more than I deserve. Together we’ve had three beautiful children, two daughters followed by a son. We are currently in the process of adopting another little boy, but in order to protect the family’s privacy I don’t currently blog about that experience. I have a BEAUTIFUL Turkish Angora cat (yep, that’s him in the photo above). We also have a family dog, a Lhasa Apso who thinks he’s mine, my 10 year old’s cat, and my 8 year old’s Chihuahua- so my house is a zoo really.

Hi Jennifer! I found your blog through the UBP! I am an older mom, but love finding other blogs of like-minded women who love to encourage other women. I met my husband and we were engaged 3 months later (married 8 months after that), and will celebrate our 24th anniversary in August! Following your lovely blog that you designed yourself. I love your theme too!

I loved your list!
And I need a recipe for your tea latte. That sounds SO GOOD right now, although perhaps that’s the thunderstorm and the deep night talking to me.
Gorgeous family pics, too.

Awe Beth, you just made my day- I am such a huge fan of yours- you are so totally RAD! We’ve certainly had a few thunderstorms lately… Tea lattes are much sweeter than coffee ones. I don’t have a real recipe that I use, but it’s essentially 2 tea bags, either green tea or black tea (I like ones that have a bit of vanilla or white tea in them too), soaked in 1/4 cup of REALLY hot water. While the tea bags soak I heat a cup milk in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Then take a whisk and whip up the milk to give it some nice foam. Pour the milk into the tea. Then add a couple teaspoons of honey or, if you have some handy, some vanilla syrup. I leave the teabags in the tea, but it’s probably not really necessary. Of course, my tea lattes aren’t quite as good as Starbucks. Let me know if you ever want to meet up in real life and I’ll buy you one. We can even take in the Oregon Trail Museum and make a day of it.

Visiting from the UBP12 and you have a lovely looking blog! Me & my husband “knew of” each other in high school but didn’t date until late Jan. of 1995. We got engaged on September 9th and were married December 16th of the same year! We just celebrated 16 years of marriage!

I love tea, but I don’t like cats. Can we still be blogging friends?
I am hopping over from UBP. Happy party week.
