I am thankful. I am thankful for the nativity.
My nativity set is by far my very favorite Christmas decoration. Putting the nativity on display has been my job since I was a girl and it’s not one I’m willing to pass down… At least not yet.
The nativity is the first Christmas decoration to go up and the last one to come down. In truth, I have often contemplated leaving it up all year round. A sweet subtle reminder that the birth of Christ is something to be celebrated every day, not just one (or two if you start early) month a year.
This year, as always, I was thankful as I set up the display in it’s place of honor with all of our family photos. If Jesus stops by our home tonight I hope He feels just like family.

Yes! I’m thinking tomorrow night is the night for the caroling. I’m looking forward to it. What better way to have the girls practice for their Christmas programs!?!
I love my nativity set too!
It is great to be reminded of Jesus’ birth. I love that this year it seems there are more nativity sets in shopping malls than santa – I think this is cool.
That is awesome!
We have a rubber duckie nativity, I love it to pieces
That. Is. Awesome.
