On Fridays I join with others from around the blogosphere over at The Gypsy Mama and together we stop, drop, and write.
We write bold and beautiful and free. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not.
OK, are you ready? Here’s my best five minutes on:

Time and time again this week I have come up empty, with nothing to offer.
It’s an awful feeling.
It leaves me wanting.

How do I help her?
How do I teach her?
It’s dinner time already?
Where did the time go?
Will I ever get the hang of this mom thing?

Over and over this week the questions came.
I had no answer.
I was empty.

This morning my best friend called.
The moment she heard the emptiness in my voice she said
“I’m coming over.”
The firm tone in her voice comforted me.

We spent about 20 minutes brainstorming.
Empty pages now full of ideas.
And as I sit here typing I’m also putting our plan into practice.

The dreaded emptiness has now become a space full of hope.

And once again I’m so thankful for my sweet best friend.
Her strength.
Her confidence in me.
Her comfort.
Her prayer.

Father in Heaven, Thank you so much for my sweet, sweet friend. Thank you for the wisdom she shares and the hope she gives to the empty places. She does all this in Your name and for your glory. Be glorified by our friendship, by our heart for one another, and by our unity in the Spirit. In Jesus name, amen.

    • Thanks for visiting Tresta. I agree, I gain courage from seeing others who are struggling and still moving forward. It’s certainly easier for me to relate to than people who seem to have it all together all the time… Having it all together is overrated anyway, right!?! ;)
